Thanks! I hate sliders too…just trying to convince my husband (and make sure its a good investment). Our kitchen is large, but we do have a kitchen table right in front of the door. I think if we could get outward opening ones it would be good. The ones I’m looking at have the built in blinds encased in glass which I LOVE!

I figure it’s because the seal broke and moisture was allowed between the glass…what I don’t understand is why it happened to two of the doors (in seperate rooms). Shouldn’t the doors hold their seals better? How many years should the doors be able to hold their seal?

We bought this house a couple years ago and the patio doors were cloudy at that time. It’s no problem because we planned to change them out and upgrade them anyway. Now that we’re ready to replace them, I’m wondering if there’s anythig I should know before I purchase new doors. We’re in the north-east and energy efficiency is key.
